According to BODMAS rule, we need to calculate the division first

$\Rightarrow$ $(- 3) \times (- 12) \div (- 6) - 5$ $= (- 3) \times 2 - 5$
$\Rightarrow$ $(- 3) \times (- 12) \div (- 6) - 5$ $= [(- 3) \times 2] - 5$
