We have,

(0.5)3+p×(0.25)3q=1

9q+2=(3)p+1

Therefore,

(0.5)3+p×((0.5)2)3q=1

(0.5)3+p×(0.5)6q=1

(0.5)3+p=(0.5)6q

3+p=6q …….. (1)

Similarly,

9q+2=(3)p+1

((3)4)q+2=(3)p+1

(3)4q+8=(3)p+1

4q+8=p+1

p4q=7 ……….. (2)

On solving equations (1) and (2), we get

p=27,q=5


Since,

p+q=27+5=32

Hence, this is the answer.
