Step: Find the value of b
We have:

9b - 4b + 3b = 16

⇒ (9 - 4 + 3)b = 16

⇒ 8b = 16

Now, transposing 8 to RHS, we get

⇒ b = $\frac{16}{8}$

⇒ b = 2
∴ The value of b = 2
