Adding $5$ on both the sides

$\frac{x}{3} - 5 + 5 = 2 + 5$

$\Rightarrow \frac{x}{3} = 7.$

Multiplying each side by $3$

$\Rightarrow x = 21$

Hence, the value of $x$ is $21$ .
