Given, $x^{2} + x - 2 = 0 \Rightarrow x^{2} - (2 - x) = 0$
So as the solution is the intersection of $y = x^{2}$ and $y = 2 - x$

They intersect at $x = - 2, x = 1$

So solution are $- 2, 1$
