Solve the following equation:
3x-14=11

Multiply both sides by 4, we get:
3x-14×4=11×43x-1=44
Transposing -1 from L.H.S to R.H.S, we get:
3x=44+13x=45
Dividing both sides by 3 , we get:
3x3=453x=15
Hence the value of x=15 is the required solution.
