Solution

Difference between Acidic radical and Basic radical

Acidic Radical

Basic Radical

Negatively charged radicals are called acidic radicals.Positively charged radicals are called basic radicals.
Acid radicals are formed by the removal of hydrogen ions (H+)Basic radicals are formed by the removal of the hydroxide ion (OH-).
Acid radicals can also be made by removing hydrogen ions from an acid.Basic radicals are also formed by removing hydroxyl ions from a base.
Examples: H2SO4 loses one H+ ion to form HSO4- ion which is called an acidic radical.Example: KOH loses OH- ion and becomes K+ ion, which is a basic radical.

Therefore, the basic difference between acidic and basic radical is that one contains positively charged species and another contain negatively charged species.
