Solution

The correct option is C pulmonary vein
The heart is a muscular organ with 4 different chambers which prevents the intermixing of oxygenated and deoxygenated blood.
Vena cava which is the largest vein brings the deoxygenated blood from the body to the upper right chamber of the heart called right atrium.
As the right atrium contracts, the corresponding lower chamber, the right ventricle dilates. This transfers blood to the right ventricle, which in turn pumps it to the lungs for oxygenation through the pulmonary artery.
The oxygenated blood from the lungs has to be brought back to the heart. Pulmonary vein transports the oxygen-rich blood from the lungs to the thin walled upper left chamber of the heart called the left atrium.
As the left atrium contracts, the oxygenated blood is transported to the the corresponding lower chamber which is the left ventricle, Contraction of left ventricle further pumps out the oxygenated blood to the rest of the body through the aorta.
