The direction of induced current can be found by using ______.
Flemming's Right-hand rule
Fleming's Right-hand rule shows the direction of induced current when a conductor rotates in a magnetic field. The right hand is held with the thumb, index finger and middle finger mutually perpendicular to each other (at right angles), as shown in the diagram.
Fleming's left-hand rule is used for electric motors, while Fleming's right-hand rule is used for electric generators. In an electric motor, the electric current and magnetic field exist (which are the causes), and they lead to the force that creates the motion (which is the effect), and so the left-hand rule is used.
Maxwell's screw rule- If a right-handed corkscrew is assumed to be held along the conductor, and screw is rotated such that it moves in the direction of the current, direction of magnetic field is same as that of the rotation of the screw. It is also known as Maxwell's corkscrew rule or Right handed corkscrew rule.
