Solution

The correct option is D the second month of the second trimester
The period of pregnancy is divided into three stages called trimesters (first trimester, second trimester and third trimester). Each trimester is a set of about 3 months.

In the first month of the first trimester- the amniotic sac and the placenta develops. At the end of the first month, the heart is formed.

In the second month of the first trimester facial features develop, tissues of the central nervous system form, digestive tract and sensory organs start developing. Buds of limbs, digits start developing and external genitalia starts developing.

In the third month or end of the first trimester, the baby is almost fully formed externally. Organ and organ system develops, teeth start forming, external ears are formed.
In the fourth month i.e. the first month of the second trimester, the developing foetus’ visual and auditory senses become functional. Taste buds develop.

In the fifth month i.e. the second month of the second trimester, hair on the head and the first movement of the foetus happens.
In the sixth month i.e. the third month or last month of the second trimester, the formation of eyelashes and eyelids separates in the month of six i.e the last month of the second trimester.

So, the characteristic movement of the fetus is first seen in the second month of the second trimester or fifth month of the pregnancy.
