Solution

The correct options are
B is seen in the temperature range from 4C to 0C
D helps fishes to survive in water even when the temperature falls to 0C
Water on cooling contracts upto 4C.
On further cooling, it starts to expand till it freezes into solid ice at 0C. This property is called anomalous expansion of water.
Due to this property, in cold regions, water in rivers or ponds freezes at the top and forms ice when the temperature falls below 0C. The density becomes less as it freezes. But water beneath the ice remains at 4C which helps fishes to survive in water even when the temperature falls to 0C.
