Solution

Hint: Perimeter of rectangle is = =2×(l+b)

Step 1: For first rectangle:

We know that 7x+5=2×{32x+1+2x+32}

Now comparing it with 2×(l+b) that is the perimeter of rectangle we get

L=32x+1inchesandB=2x+32inches

Step 2:

For second rectangle:

We know that 7x+5=212x+2+3x+12

Now comparing it with 2×(l+b) that is the perimeter of rectangle we get

L=12x+2inchesandB=3x+12inches
