Under what condition in an arrangement of two plane mirrors, incident ray and reflected ray will always be parallel to each other, whatever may be the angle of incidence. Show the same with the help of a diagram.

Step 1: Explanation:

  1. The ray which strikes on the mirror is termed as incident ray and the the ray which reflects after striking the mirror is termed as reflecting ray.
  2. The incident ray and reflected ray is parallel to each other always when the mirrors are situated perpendicular to each other.
  3. Since incident angle is equal to reflected angle. Therefore, the direction of incident and reflected ray only depends upon the orientation of the mirror.
