Lakshadweep Islands
Andaman and Nicobar Islands
Lakshadweep in Malayalam means ‘hundreds of islands.’ They lie in the West of India - a little off the coast of Kerala. These are coral islands surrounded by the Arabian Sea.
Kavaratti is the capital of Lakshadweep.
The Andaman and the Nicobar Islands lie to the southeast of the Indian mainland in the Bay of Bengal. They are known for picturesque beaches, thick forests, and amazing wildlife. They are a collection of about 572 islands out of which only 36 are open to tourists. The capital of the Andaman and Nicobar islands is Port Blair.
