Polysomes:

1. A rosette or helical cluster of ribosomes is brought together by a strand of messenger RNA to form a polysome (mRNA).
2. They include a piece of the genetic code that is translated by each ribosome and are employed in the synthesis of numerous copies of the same polypeptide.
3. It can be found in the cytoplasm or the endoplasmic reticulum.
