What cause gene silencing?

Solution

Gene silencing: Also called RNA interference (RNAi) it is the biological mechanism by which small interfering RNA (siRNA) induces gene silencing by targeting complementary mRNA for degradation.

The steps involved in RNA interference are as follows:

  1. Designing the siRNA based on the template of mRNAs.
  2. Delivering siRNA to toxicity optimization minimization and gene knockdown maximization.
  3. Test the efficiency of siRNA silencing
  4. Examination of the biological impact of targeted gene silencing.
  5. Gene silencing is caused by RNA interference by degrading the target mRNA or by suppressing the translation of mRNA.
