Introduction

Snow-blindness or photokeratitis is a temporary pain in the eyes caused by continuous exposure to UV-B rays. The UV-B rays damage the conjunctiva or the cornea. The reflection of the sun rays is more from snow covered areas, therefore, it is called snow-blindness. It can be treated by giving rest to the eyes.

  • Swollen red eyes
  • Burning and painful eyes
  • Blurred vision
  • Headache
