Question

What is dynamically induced EMF?

Open in App
Solution

  1. The generation of potential difference in a coil due to the changes in the magnetic flux through it is called Electromotive force.
  2. In order to generate dynamically induced EMF, the magnetic field must be kept stationary while the conductor is moving.
  3. The equation for dynamically induced EMF is
    e=Blv
    Where e is the induced EMF, B is magnetic field, I is the length of the conductor and V is a potential difference.
  4. For example, the generator operates on producing dynamically induced EMF in conductors.
  5. Faraday's law says that the EMF induced in the loop is proportional to the rate of change in magnetic flux.
  6. The flux linkage, ϕ=NBAcosθ.
    where N is the number of turns, B is the magnetic field, A is the area and θ is the angle between magnetic field and area.
