With growing recurrence, Kalbaishakhi happens from March until the monsoon settles over north-east India. During such a span of time, violent thunderstorms are witnessed in north-eastern states including Odisha, Bihar, Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand, Assam and West Bengal.
