1. Imines are the compounds or functional group that contains $\mathrm{C}=\mathrm{N}$ and Nitrogen contains either hydrogen or any Alkyl $\left(\mathrm{R}\right)$group on the other side.
2. When Imines do not contain any hydrogens They are known as Schiff Base.
3. Generally, they are nitrogen analogues of aldehydes and ketones. Imines contain nitrogen in place of oxygen.
4. Formation of Imine- Imine is formed when ketones or aldehydes react with primary amines and undergo loss of water which results in Ketimines and Aldimines respectively.
5. When any Imines are treated with reducing agents like raney Nickel, Lithium Aluminum Hydride and Sodium Borohydride they get converted to respective amines.
6. Imines are a radiopharmaceutical diagnostic agent that can use in hepatobiliary scans.
