What is sedimentation?

    Solution

Sedimentation is a process of separating specifically heavier, suspended matter, in a solution. Solid matter settles at the bottom of the vessel and the liquid above it is poured off.

This is due to their motion through the fluids in response to the forces acting on them. These forces may be a result of gravity , centrifugal acceleration and electromagnetism
