What is the difference between apocarpous and syncarpous ovary?
Apocarpous ovary:
The ovary of the flower which contains more than one carpel, where carpels are free is known as the apocarpous ovary, for example- in the rose flower.
Syncarpous ovary:
The ovary of the flower which contains more than one carpel and carpels are fused is known as the syncarpous ovary, for example- in the mustard flower.
