What is the difference between contour ploughing and terrace farming?
Contour ploughing:
The kind of ploughing, which is done at right angles to the ridges, hill slopes, and furrows so that elevation helps in preventing soil erosion by water and wind is contour ploughing.
Terrace farming:
The kind of farming in which broad steps are cleaved surrounding the hill slopes to inhibit soil erosion is terrace farming.
