  2. It is also called limiting friction.
  3. It is the product of the Normal force and coefficient of limiting friction.
  4. Mathematically, it can be expressed as

where, μ=coefficientoffrictionN=Normalforce

4. The limiting friction is always opposite to the motion of the object.
