‘Objectives Resolution’ was passed by Jawaharlal Nehru in the session of the constituent assembly. These resolutions were some guiding principles that helped our leaders in drafting the Constitution of India.

These principles were that-

• It will be a democratic country
• It will ensure all citizens of justice, equality, and freedom
• It will safeguard the interests of minorities, tribes, and depressed classes
• It will work for world peace and the welfare of all mankind.
