Position of metals in periodic table:

  • The periodic table is an arrangement of all the elements in accordance with their increasing atomic number and recurring chemical properties.
  • The metals are present on the left side of the periodic table except Hydrogen (H) which is a non-metal and on the middle of the periodic table.
  • The non-metals are present on the right side of the periodic table and the elements which are placed between metals and non-metals are called metalloids.
