Solution

Cellular respiration:

  1. It is a process by which cell uses organic compounds to make energy in the form of ATP.
  2. It is of two types namely- aerobic respiration and anaerobic respiration.

Respiration in humans:

  1. In humans, aerobic as well as anaerobic respiration takes place.
  2. Aerobic respiration is the one that occurs in presence of oxygen and is most commonly used within the cells of the human body.
  3. Anaerobic respiration is the one that occurs in the absence of oxygen and it takes place within the human body when there is oxygen deficiency. Oxygen deficiency occurs when the body is under stress after doing strenuous exercises.
  4. Thus, both aerobic and anaerobic respiration takes place within the human body.
