Which layer of the given diagram represent arachnoid layer?
Choice B
In between the skull and brain are three layers of tissue, called meninges and their role is to protect the brain. The strong, outermost layer is named the dura mater. The middle layer, the arachnoid mater, is a thin membrane made of blood vessels and elastic tissue. These are called arachnoid because of the fine spider web-like appearance of the delicate fibres of the arachnoid which extend down through the subarachnoid space and attach to the pia mater.
