Why does compound $\left(A\right)$ given below not form an oxime?

Compound $A$ does not form an oxime because it doesn’t have a free $-OH$ group at anomeric carbon $\left(C1\right)$, So it cannot be converted to the open chain form to give $-CHO$ group and hence doesn’t form the oxime.
