Question

Why don't seeds germinate inside the seed packet?

Open in App
Solution

Seed germination:

  1. Seeds require the proper combination of temperature, oxygen, and water to germinate.
  2. The seed packet does no longer comprise all the optimal conditions that a seed needs to germinate.
  3. The most significant element is humidity.
  4. In packages, they are able to mold, mildew, and eventually perish if they become damp.
  5. A seed's coat allows water and oxygen to enter when exposed to the right conditions.
