Sulphur dioxide is the chemical compound with a formula of SO₂.
We can find the formula by crossing the valency of constituent elements
Using criss-cross method we get, $S_{2} O_{4}$ . Since the formula has a common factor of 2 hence when we divide the formula by 2 (common factor ) we get $S O_{2}$ .
