Solution:
The Indians realized that the British were dependent on the cooperation of the Indians and therefore came up with the strategy of non-cooperation to collapse the British Government.
The Indian National Congress accepted the resolution of non-cooperation in the Nagpur session in 1920, which gave rise to the Non-cooperation movement.
The Non-cooperation movement was based on boycotting the British Institutes and commodities like government schools, government offices, courts and foreign goods.
During the visit of the prince of Wales in 1921, people went on hartal and closed their shops in protest. The movement spread throughout India.
The British, to control the situation, used the method of suppression and opened fire on the peaceful procession at Chauri Chaura. The people, in response, burned the Chauri Chaura police station. After this incident, Gandhiji suspended the Non-cooperation movement on 12 February 2022.
