When conc. Hydrochloric Acid is added to the Potassium permanganate solution, it will give Manganese chloride, Potassium chloride, water, and Chlorine gas as a product.
In this reaction, Hydrochloric acid acts as a reducing agent by oxidizing itself to chlorine gas.
