The universal law of gravitation:

  1. Every object in the universe attracts every other object with a force which is proportional to the product of their masses and inversely proportional to the square of the distance between them.

Mathematical formula:

F=F1=F2=Gm1m2r2

Here, F is the gravitational force between bodies,

m1 and m2 are the masses of the bodies,

r is the distance between the centres of two bodies,

G is the universal gravitational constant.
