Solution of pair of linear equation:

Consider,

x+7y=10...13x-2y=7...2

Multiply equation 1 by 3 and subtract equation 2 from it.

3x+21y-3x-2y=30-7⇒3x+21y-3x+2y=30-7⇒23y=23⇒y=2323∴y=1

Put y=1in equation 1

x+7×1=10⇒x+7=10⇒x=10-7∴x=3

Hence, the solution is x=3 and y=1.
