Solution

The correct option is B 3313
Let the salary of X be x and the salary of Y be y
Then y=2x ....(1)
Their original combined salary =x+y=x+2x=3x ....(by (1))
Increment in X's salary =x×50%=x×50100=x2
Increment in Y's salary =y×25%=y×25100=y4
new salary of X=x+x2=3x2 and new salary of Y=y+y4=5y4
Their new combined salary =3x2+5y4=3x2+5(2x)4=4x (.....by (1))
Increment is 4x3x=x
percentage of increment is x3x×100=3313%
