Factorize: $y^{2} - 5 y + 6$

Factorize the Expression:
The given expression is,
$y^{2} - 5 y + 6 = y^{2} - 2 y - 3 y + 6$
$= y (y - 2) - 3 (y - 2)$
$= (y - 2) (y - 3)$
Hence the factors of $y^{2} - 5 y + 6$ are $(y - 2)$ and $(y - 3)$ .
