Given :
$\frac{[2 x - (7 - 5 x)]}{[9 x - (3 + 4 x)]} = \frac{7}{6}$
$\frac{[2 x - 7 + 5 x]}{[9 x - 3 - 4 x]} = \frac{7}{6}$
$\frac{7 x - 7}{5 x - 3} = \frac{7}{6}$
Cross multiply
$\Rightarrow 6 (7 x - 7) = 7 (5 x - 3)$
$\Rightarrow 42 x - 42 = 35 x - 21$
$\Rightarrow 7 x = 21$
$∴ x = 3$
Hence, $x = 3$ is the correct answer.
