Solution

Calculate the volume :

Let the length, breadth, and height of the cold storage be l,bandhrespectively.

Given that, l=2b,h=3m

Since the area of its four walls (including doors) is 108m2.

Areaoffourwalls=108m22lh+2bh=108h(l+b)=543(2b+b)=54l=2b,h=3m9b=54b=549b=6m

So, l=2×6=12m

Thus, the length, breadth, and height of the cold storage are 12m,6mand3m respectively.

Volume=l×b×h=12×6×3=216m3

Hence, the volume of the cold storage is 216m3.
