100% syllabus to be implemented on the basis of NEP - Goa Chief Minister, Pramod Sawant

The announcement has been made for the next academic year. National Education Policy National Education Policy: According to the announcement made by the Goa government, it has decided to implement a 100% syllabus in higher secondary education institutions. The syllabus will be implemented on the basis of NEP. The plan will be executed starting in the next academic year. The announcement was made by Goa Chief Minister, Pramod Sawant, during the seventh NITI Aayog Governing Council, which was conducted on August 7, 2022. Prime Minister Narendra Modi chaired the meeting, which was conducted in New Delhi. The chief minister also stated that the government of Goa is working on a plan through which it can skill the manpower. Agreements have been signed with various associations located in the state. Implementation has already begun at university and college levels and in schools which are either state-run or are aided by the state government. The government is still spreading awareness at school level. Proper implementation will be carried out from the next academic session, 2023 onwards. CM Sawant also mentioned that the state would require two lakh people in the next 5 years. The people will be trained by government authorities. Goa has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with each and every industry in the state, which is associated with the development of skills. A total of 35 MoUs have been signed till date.
