The Jammu and Kashmir Public Service Commission(JKPSC) has begun the online registrations for Prosecuting officers of J &K Home Department recruitment today, 6 October 2022. The registration process will end on 5 November 2022. Candidates can visit the official website of JKPSC, jkpsc.nic.in to apply online.
The application edit window will be active from 6 to 8 November 2022(11:59 pm). JKPSC will be recruiting 120 Prosecuting Officers.
Eligibility criteria for Prosecuting officers
Candidates must satisfy the following eligibility criteria:
- Candidates must have a bachelor's degree in law.
- The upper age limit for the candidates must be 40 years(OM category), 43 years(SC, ST, OSC, ALC/IB, RBA, PSP, EWS categories), and 44 years(Government service candidates).
- Candidates must be a domicile of Jammu and Kashmir.
The admit cards will be issued two weeks prior to the exam. On the day of the exam, candidates must carry their ID proof(anyone out of Adhaar card, Voter ID card, Driving license, Pan card, Passport, school/college/university ID card, or Employee ID card), and two latest passport-size photographs.
Scheme and Pattern of Exam
There will be three stages of recruitment. Stage 1 is the preliminary exam, where objective-type questions will be asked. Stage 2 is the Mains exam, where descriptive-type questions will be asked. Stage 3 is the personality test round.
Candidates have to clear each round with the necessary cutoffs prescribed.
