The permission or affiliation has been granted for the session of 2022-2023.
As per the latest media reports, the CBSE has granted permission or has given affiliation to more than 8.5K schools under various categories for the session of 2022–2023. The affiliation has been granted to schools from class 9th. The affiliation has been granted on the basis of various categories.
Permission or affiliation has been granted to a total of 8,544 schools for the session of 2022–2023. A total of 578 applications were rejected, according to media reports. The rules and regulations which have been laid down by CBSE in order to grant permission or affiliation to a school are mentioned on the CBSE website, cbse.gov.in.
What is the meaning of the Central Board of Secondary Education granting permission?
Granting affiliation means being associated with a particular board. Whereas granting permission means giving a yes to a request which has been raised by the institutes which are already affiliated with the board. Permission can be given for changing the school's location, name, etc.
The applications have been rejected in cases where the rules have not been followed properly. It is stated in the rules that schools cannot own extra land. If that is the situation, then in one document it should mention the land and in the next document it should mention the extra land also. Some school owners feel that the applications have been rejected because they were submitted only recently.
Many parents are interested in getting their children admitted to CBSE affiliated schools. Therefore, many institutes located in various districts of Maharashtra have started sending their applications for affiliation. Some coaching centres have also asked parents to send their children to CBSE affiliated schools because the curriculum is more in coordination with various competitive examinations which are conducted in India.
