There are different sources of energy that are used worldwide for the generation of power. These sources of energy are broadly classified into two types, and they are renewable energy and non-renewable energy. There are many countries that are dependent on fossil fuels as their source of energy.

Fossil fuels are non-renewable sources of energy and result in the production of greenhouse gases. Examples of sources of energy include solar energy, wind energy, hydroelectricity, hydroelectric, biomass energy, nuclear energy and geothermal energy.
