Yes, there is there a law against disrespecting the flag. The Prevention of Insults to National Honor Act 1971 talks about Insults to Indian National Flag and Constitution of India, Prevention of singing of Indian National Anthem and Enhanced penalty on second and subsequent convictions.

- Punishment for Insulting Indian National Flag and Constitution of India: Imprisonment for a term which may extend to three years, or with fine, or with both.
- Punishment for intentionally preventing the singing of the Indian National Anthem or causing disturbance to any assembly engaged in such singing: imprisonment for a term which may extend to three years, or with fine, or with both.
- Punishment for second and subsequent convictions: imprisonment for a term which shall not be less than one year.
