What is the Raleigh Commission?

The Raleigh Commission was set up to inquire into the condition and prospects of universities in India and to recommend proposals for improving their constitution and working practices. 

Also known as the Indian Universities Commission of 1902, its major recommendations were the reform of school education curricular reforms at universities, recommendations on education and examinations and state scholarships
