Is Kolleru a Ramsar site?

Kolleru Lake is a Ramsar Site. Due to its biodiversity and ecological importance, it was designated as a wetland of importance under the Ramsar Convention in November 2002

The lake was also declared as a wildlife sanctuary in November 1999 under India’s Wildlife Protection Act of 1972.
