Sugarcane is a long duration crop and requires 10 to 15 months and even 18 months to mature depending upon the geographical conditions. It is a tropical and subtropical crop that grows well in hot and humid climates with a temperature of 21°C to 27°C and an annual rainfall of 75cm. to 100cm.
