Was the Stockholm Convention successful?

As far as multilateral environmental agreements (MEAs) are concerned, the Stockholm Convention on Persistent Organic Pollutants is considered a major success.

The Stockholm Convention was a success as it introduced regulation with regards to the control of organic pollutants. POP regulation is required as its wide use is dangerous for humans and wildlife.
