Which state has the highest urbanization in India?

Goa is now the most urbanised State with 62.2% urban population among states. Among all the States and Union territories, the National Capital Territory of Delhi and the Union territory of Chandigarh are most urbanized with 97.5% and 97.25% urban population respectively, followed by Daman and Diu (75.2%) and Puducherry (68.3%). Among major states, Tamil Nadu continues to be the most urbanized state with 48.4% of the population living in urban areas followed now by Kerala (47.7%) upstaging Maharashtra (45.2%).
