Regarding Universal Basic Income, there have been few large scale experiments and few small scale pilot projects through various targeted schemes. The Indian Government implemented Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act (MGNREGA) which is a variant of traditional guaranteed minimum income program.
